As a Refurbishment Operative, you will travel to various sites across the UK to refurbish swimming pool filtration systems. This hands-on role requires the refurbishment of filters, pipework, and related equipment. About 80% of the work focuses on filter refurbishment, including removing sand and gravel, shot blasting the interior, applying protective paint, and refilling the filters. This role requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and a proactive attitude to tackle both challenging and rewarding projects.
- Refurbish swimming pool filters, pipework, and associated equipment.
- Conduct filter refurbishment tasks: remove sand and gravel, shot blast interiors, apply protective lining, and refill with sand and gravel.
- Maintain high-quality workmanship and ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Travel nationwide to project sites, sometimes involving overnight stays.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, maintaining a professional approach to customer service.
- Relevant experience in mechanical or refurbishment work, ideally in swimming pool systems or related fields.
- Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
- Strong practical skills and experience with hand tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and stay overnight as needed.
- Physically capable of handling tasks that involve lifting and endurance.
- Travel across the UK and explore various regions.
